Hiking
For those who love hiking , Kefalonia is a favorite destination. First of all, the area of Ainos mountain offers several interesting routes. Starts from St. Eleftherios and ends on the highest peak , at Mega Soros, across the pine forest . You can also admire the wild horses of Ainos. Another interesting path starts from St. Euphemia and reaches the beach of Myrtos, crossing a beautiful little valley . Quite beautiful are the paths Pastra – Kateleios, self Guided paths of Fiskardo(Cypress trail) Sami – citadel – Antisamos and those at Poros .
Wine Tour
Kefalonia has a great tradition in the production of wine. The native variety is called Robola of Kefalonia. The Robola is served cool and is suitable with seafood, white sauce and red meat, while it accompanies wonderful Kefalonian dishes like macaroni pie and ‘aliada (skordalia)’ in greek.
